Post Title: Investigations Officer

Department: Investigations

Reporting To: Senior Investigator

Job Purpose:

Support the Investigations Department through high-level administrative duties, data analysis, committee coordination, and debtor management—all executed with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

Support to Investigations Department:

  • Electronically maintain and archive investigation matter files
  • Provide updates to respondents and complainants
  • File and manage case correspondence

Committee Meeting Administration:

  • Prepare matter files and agenda packs
  • Attend meetings and record decisions
  • Follow up on pleas, decisions, and sanctions
  • Manage billing, debtors, and committee correspondence

Auditor Support:

  • Compile and submit information for internal and external audits

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Capture and analyse investigation data
  • Generate reconciliations and statistical reports

Ad-hoc Assignments:

  • Provide flexible support to various department tasks

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree: Business Administration (essential)
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-qualification in business administration
  • Proficiency: MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Advantageous: Experience in legal/accounting environments
