Minimum Requirements to Apply

Applicants must be South African citizens.

Applicants must be residents within the Theewaterskloof municipal area.

Applicants must be unemployed and actively looking for work.

Applicants must be able to perform physical duties where necessary.

Applicants must be 18 years and older.

Preference will be given to individuals from indigent households with no source of income, subject to submission of proof confirming indigent status.

Minimum Requirements for Plumbers

Applicants must have Grade 9 or NQF Level 1 equivalent.

Proof must accompany the application form.

Applicants must have basic understanding of plumbing work done by Plumbers.

Applicants must have at least two yearsโ€™ experience in pipe-laying.

Minimum Requirements for General Workers

Applicants must be eligible candidates who have basic literacy.

Applicants must have zero to one year of experience, and the experience must be clearly stated in the application form.

Applicants must have good human relations.

Applicants must be hardworking and able to work well within a team.

Applicants must have good physical health.

Minimum Requirements for Wastewater Treatment Operators

Applicants must have Grade 9 or NQF Level 1 equivalent.

Candidates must show specific interest in working at a wastewater treatment plant and participating in an in-house training programme.

The project aims to give in-house training to EPWP workers to obtain an Operatorโ€™s Certificate at the end of the project.

Candidates must have good human relations with fellow workers.

The position requires hardworking candidates who work well within a team and show high levels of commitment and integrity to participate in the programme.

The following documents must accompany the application form:

Originally certified copy of ID document.

Originally certified copy of Grade 9 or NQF Level 1 equivalent certificate for Wastewater Operators and Plumbers.

Proof of address.

Proof of banking details upon appointment and SARS number.
