Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have Grade 12 or Matric, or an equivalent qualification.
Applicants must have strong administrative ability and willingness to learn.
Applicants must be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools.
Applicants must have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Applicants must be able to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.
Applicants must have effective communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Added Advantage
Previous exposure to vehicle licensing, fleet administration or similar environments will be an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate will assist with vehicle licensing, registration and dealer stocking processes after vehicle sales.
Duties include preparing and submitting documentation to licensing authorities, liaising with traffic departments, licensing offices, original equipment manufacturers and external agents.
The Fleet Officer will track licensing progress and follow up on outstanding registrations.
The successful candidate will also ensure vehicles are correctly transferred and removed from fleet records.
The candidate will maintain and update the vehicle asset register, including registration numbers, VIN numbers, engine numbers, sale dates, licensing status, ownership and transfer details.
Additional duties include updating vehicle statuses such as active, sold, transferred and deregistered, reconciling records with sales, finance and fleet reports, ensuring proper filing of documentation, filing and organising licensing and vehicle documents, assisting with internal audits and reporting, responding to internal queries on vehicle and licensing status, and supporting fleet and finance teams with general administrative tasks.
