Duties

The successful candidate will manage the compilation of Internal Audit and Forensic Investigations strategic and operational plans.

Duties include managing the development and updating of methodologies, policies and procedures in line with best practice, International Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Professional Standards.

The candidate will manage the compilation of the Chief Directorateโ€™s strategic plan, operational plan, internal audit risk registers and annual internal audit plans.

The role includes coordinating with internal and external assurance providers to ensure proper risk coverage and avoid duplication.

The successful candidate will manage the implementation of Internal Audit and Forensic Investigations strategic and operational plans.

The candidate will report progress to the Director-General and Audit Committee as required.

The role includes managing quality assessment reviews, annual internal quality assessment reviews and external quality assessment reviews.

The successful candidate will manage the implementation of internal audit action plans and forensic investigation recommendations by line management.

The candidate will coordinate Audit Committee meetings and in-committee meetings.
