Chief Director: Planning Alignment Ref No: 06/2026

Requirements

Applicants must have an appropriate NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, Business Administration, Social Science or Development Studies.

Applicants must have eight yearsโ€™ experience in strategic planning, public sector institutional planning, operational planning, public sector development planning or public sector monitoring and evaluation, of which five years must be at senior managerial level.

An NQF Level 8 qualification or higher will be an added advantage.

The candidate will manage and facilitate quarterly non-financial performance reporting.

Duties include developing, reviewing and implementing policies, frameworks, circulars and guidelines that support strategic planning, annual performance planning and operational planning processes.

The candidate will manage stakeholder engagements and forums on Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan processes and reporting.

The successful candidate will provide professional management and leadership for the Chief Directorate and support cross-functional work within the Department.
