Job Purpose
This role involves administrative coordination between the Health and Indigenous Knowledge Systems business units to facilitate efficient investment management, budgeting, and knowledge transfer. The successful candidate will ensure smooth internal and external stakeholder engagement, contributing to TIA’s mission of promoting technological innovation for socio-economic impact.
Minimum Requirements
- A three-year qualification in Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or Management.
- At least three years’ experience in project management, administration, or financial management.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
- Ability to respond quickly to urgent organizational requirements.
- Advanced computer literacy and financial management skills.
- Knowledge of PFMA and best administrative practices.

2. Fund Principal – Five-Year Fixed Term Contract

Job Purpose
This position involves leading strategy development and managing TIA’s direct and indirect investments within the Fund of Funds business. The Fund Principal will establish and oversee special purpose vehicles, partnerships, and interventionist programs within the venture capital space to drive investment and sustainability.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Honours Degree in Finance, Engineering, Legal, or a related field.
- FAIS RE 05 Certificate (or must obtain within six months of employment).
Experience:
- 10-12 years of relevant investment experience, particularly in fund of funds within venture capital/private equity.
- 5-7 years in a Fund Principal role in a debt or equity fund.
- Strong track record in commercialization funding, particularly early-stage funding and revenue generation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, M.Com, MSc, CA, CFA, or another relevant Master’s degree.
- 15 years of investment experience in venture capital/private equity.
- FAIS accreditation as a key individual in a fund.
- Experience in venture capital fund management.
