Post Title: Manager Public Participation

Department: Executive Support

Annual Salary: R667,360.94 – R769,383.61 (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (Diploma/National Diploma or Degree)
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience at a senior practitioner level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Integrated Public Participation and Communications Strategy
  • Coordinate National days, Imbizos, and community outreach programs
  • Liaise with Ward Councillors, oversee ward committee activities
  • Develop and manage the Ward Development Fund budget and reporting
  • Oversee communication strategies and public relations efforts within the municipality
  • Supervise and support Public Participation Officers and Ward Assistants

Post Title: Manager Town Planning (Re-advert)

Department: Development Planning and LED
Term of Appointment: Permanent

Annual Salary: R667,360.94 – R769,383.61 (excluding benefits)

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably a Master’s in Urban Design/Town and Regional Planning)
  • Registration as a professional planner/architect/urban designer
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • 8 years or more relevant experience
  • Driver’s License (added advantage)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee town planning, land use management, spatial development, GIS, and building inspectorate functions
  • Manage contracts, budgets, and personnel
  • Enforce compliance with planning legislation
  • Provide strategic direction in urban design and development planning
  • Coordinate IDP, GIS, and development policy implementation
