Professional Nurse

  • Department: Health
  • Branch: Region C, E and F
  • Designation: Professional Nurse
  • Remuneration: R33 821.63 per month (basic salary, excluding benefits)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, Midwifery, and Community Health Services (NQF Level 7)
  • Diploma in Clinical Assessment, Treatment, and Care and Mental Health (NQF 7) will be an added advantage
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • 3 years post-basic experience in a Primary Health Care setting
  • Valid driver’s license

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Render comprehensive and integrated Primary Health Care Services
  • Participate in the design and implementation of health awareness campaigns
  • Conduct administrative processes and accurate reporting
  • Maintain community and stakeholder collaboration
  • Ensure quality assurance through accurate recording and reporting

Leading and Core Competencies:

  • Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic knowledge of customer service, ethics, Batho Pele principles, and local government regulations
