Requirements
Applicants must have an NQF Level 7 qualification, such as a Bachelor’s Degree, BTech or Advanced Diploma, with majors in Finance, Management Accounting or Financial Accounting.
Applicants must have at least eight years’ experience in Finance or Project Finance Management. Of the eight years, at least three years must be at Manager or Supervisory level.
Membership of a professional body will be an added advantage. Experience within the higher education sector will also be advantageous.
Duties
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager: DHET Grants Management and will be responsible for the preparation, execution and reporting of earmarked grants.
Key duties include managing the DHET Grants Management Office, stakeholder management and engagement, internal and external audit support, human resources management, and financial management of grants.
The position also includes recording grant allocations, monitoring expenditure and reporting on grant spending.

Requirements
Applicants must have a relevant Doctoral Degree and must be registered with a relevant professional accounting body.
For Professor level, applicants must have at least nine years’ experience in higher education. For Associate Professor level, applicants must have at least seven years’ experience in higher education.
Applicants must have extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in accounting areas such as Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting.
The position also requires a strong record of national and international accredited research publications, postgraduate supervision experience, including successful doctoral supervision, and experience teaching in a SAICA-endorsed programme.
Applicants must also show evidence of successful national and international fundraising for research and recognition as an established scholar, such as an NRF rating, international keynote addresses or plenary lectures.

The successful candidate will provide academic leadership in the Faculty and support institutional teaching, learning and research objectives.
Key duties include designing, developing and maintaining accredited programmes, participating in faculty and institutional governance structures, establishing research collaborations, mentoring academic staff, supporting community engagement initiatives, lecturing, supervising students, hosting postdoctoral fellows and publishing research.
The candidate will also promote research that supports intellectual property development, third-party income, partnerships, donor relationships and institutional reputation.
