Post Title: Senior Project Manager (x7)
Reporting To: Senior Manager: Projects Portfolio
Department: Capital & Strategic Projects Management, DNR
Requirements:
- Qualification:
- BTech in Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent + 8 years experience
- OR National Diploma in Built Environment + 10 years experience
- Professional Registration:
- PrCPM (SACPCMP) – mandatory
- PMP or ECSA registration – advantageous
- Experience:
- At least 5 years post-graduate experience in hydrocarbon/petrochemical sectors
- At least 2 years technical experience within these industries
- Other:
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
- Advantageous: MBA/MBL/MSc/BCom in business or project management
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage scope, budget, quality, and timelines for small to medium projects.
- Ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project planning, reporting, risk control, and communication with stakeholders.
- Manage procurement processes including third-party contract approvals.
- Facilitate commissioning and transition into operational phase.
- Act as the NEC3 Project Manager representative for Transnet Pipelines.
Competencies Required:
- SHEQ Compliance and Project Lifecycle Management (PLP)
- NEC3 / FIDIC procurement frameworks
- ERP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Primavera)
- Leadership, stakeholder communication, team facilitation
- Budgeting, cost control, and financial modelling
