Post Title: Sourcing Specialist

Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months)

Purpose:
The Sourcing Specialist will support the Supply Chain and Asset Management Business Unit by sourcing and negotiating goods and services, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement legislation, and delivering value for the organisation.


Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics Management, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in procurement or related field.
    • Experience in risk and audit environments is advantageous.
    • Strong background in tender and quotation processes.
  • Knowledge:
    • PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and government procurement compliance.
    • ERP systems, particularly Oracle.
    • Policy execution, contract negotiation, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Operations

  • End-to-end tender management and RFQ processes.
  • Advise on terms of reference (TOR) for procurement.
  • Maintain audit-ready records and documentation.
  • Support financial performance targets through cost-effective sourcing.

Procurement and Administration

  • Maintain procurement contract repository.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation through full lifecycle.
  • Provide procurement advisory services to internal stakeholders.

Vendor Management and Contract Administration

  • Negotiate service-level contracts with suppliers.
  • Build and manage supplier database and segmentation.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
