Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Internal Auditing (NQF Level 7) or Internal Audit Technician designation
- At least 3 years of relevant internal audit experience
Advantageous:
- Honours degree in Internal Auditing (NQF Level 8)
- CIA / CFE / CISA certifications
- Experience in audit techniques, including use of CAATS
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning
- Conduct risk assessments and walkthroughs
- Develop audit programmes using data analysis tools
- Plan engagements and draft engagement letters
Audit Execution & Reporting
- Execute audits, validate findings, and recommend process improvements
- Draft audit reports and attend closing meetings
- Ensure compliance with IIA standards
Quality Assurance
- Maintain working papers and ensure audit documentation is up to standard
Administration
- Contribute to the department’s risk register
- Provide updates on project status
- Conduct follow-up audits and perform ad hoc tasks
