Post Title: Project Manager – Human Settlement

  • Directorate: Infrastructure Planning Services
  • Department: Human Settlement
  • Task Level: T15
  • Basic Salary: R629,339.72 – R816,938.11 per annum
  • Estimated CTC: R1,207,942.20 per annum (including car allowance)

Requirements

  • B-Tech / BSc / B Eng Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered with ECSA as PrTechEng / PrEng or eligible
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and GIS)
  • 5–8 years relevant contract management experience
  • Communication skills in at least two Western Cape official languages

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure planning and project management
  • Development approvals, wayleaves, and permits
  • Budgeting and financial control
  • Health and safety management
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication
  • EPWP programme coordination

Post Title: Superintendent – South

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or relevant technical qualification
  • Trade Test Certificate (Plumbing)
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • 5+ years experience in water and sanitation

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance of water and sewer systems
  • Manage staff, discipline, and performance
  • Control vehicles, equipment, and materials
  • Supervise construction and maintenance projects
  • Compile reports, budgets, and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards

Post Title: Examiner of Vehicles

  • Directorate: Corporate and Public Safety Services
  • Department: Public Safety
  • Task Level: T9
  • Salary: R274,415.95 – R356,209.09 per annum
  • Estimated CTC: R441,628.58 per annum

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Examiner of Vehicles Diploma Grade B (Grade A advantageous)
  • Registered NaTIS user
  • 3 years relevant experience
  • Valid Code A & EC driver’s licences
  • Knowledge of National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996)
  • Computer literacy

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct roadworthiness testing of vehicles
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping duties
  • Inspect and maintain testing equipment
  • Assist traffic officers and conduct enquiries
  • Ensure compliance with SANS standards
