Post Title: Programme Manager: Technical Services Office

Purpose of the Role:
Lead and coordinate the entire lifecycle of public infrastructure projects—design, planning, and delivery—under the IDC’s Infrastructure South Africa (ISA) programme. This role is key to ensuring that projects are implemented efficiently, within budget, and aligned with national infrastructure priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams of built environment specialists.
  • Develop business cases and project implementation plans.
  • Provide technical oversight and strategic vision.
  • Foster partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and frameworks (e.g., PFMA, IDMS, FIPDM, 5 Case Model).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Postgraduate/NQF level 8 qualification in the Built Environment.
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in infrastructure project delivery across public and private sectors.
  • At least 3 years in a management role (advantageous).
  • Registration with a statutory or professional body is required.

  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and finance
