9 x Temporary Seasonal General Workers – Cango Caves

Department: Planning & Development
Division: Strategic Services & Tourism
Section: Cango Caves & Resorts
Rate: R139.32 per hour
Station: Cango Caves
Contract: 3 months fixed term

Requirements

  • Basic Literacy.
  • 0–1 year relevant experience.
  • Good health and sober habits.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in two (2) of the three (3) official languages of the Western Cape.

Key Performance Areas

  • Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, and walkways.
  • Replace paper towels, toilet rolls, and refill soap containers.
  • Dust, mop, sweep, polish, and disinfect all areas.
  • Remove rubbish, empty bins, and clean refuse containers.
  • Clean glass doors, windows, furniture, and plants.
  • Ensure pathways and steps are clean to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain hygiene and odor control in all tourist areas.
  • Perform duties Monday to Sunday, when required.

2 x Temporary Seasonal Cashiers – Cango Caves

Rate: R282.69 per day

Contract: 3 months fixed term

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (attach proof).
  • 0–2 years relevant cashier or financial experience.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in at least two (2) of the three (3) official languages of the Western Cape.

Key Performance Areas

  • Sell and issue tickets to visitors courteously.
  • Handle and reconcile cash and payments.
  • Balance and document daily transactions and deposits.
  • File receipts, print reports, and prepare banking slips.
  • Respond to visitor queries and provide accurate information.
  • Manage bookings and lost-and-found items.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive visitor experience at Cango Caves.
