Position: Key Accounts Officer
Salary Range: R516,196 – R607,290 per annum (all-inclusive)
Purpose of the Role:
The Key Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing and growing strategic client accounts by ensuring NMISA’s technical and metrology services meet client needs. The role supports income generation and stakeholder engagement, contributing directly to the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- A combination of a technical qualification and a business/legal qualification is advantageous.
- At least 5 years’ experience in key account management, client relations, or business development—preferably in a technical, R&D, or scientific environment.
- Proven ability to align services with sector-specific challenges and generate revenue.
- Knowledge of accredited laboratories and regulated environments will be advantageous.
- CRM systems and data analysis proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison for key public and private sector clients.
- Develop client-specific strategies to retain and grow relationships.
- Coordinate internal technical teams to deliver customised solutions.
- Track client activities and generate regular performance reports.
- Negotiate contracts and manage service-level agreement renewals.
- Represent NMISA at industry forums and stakeholder engagements.
- Contribute to marketing campaigns, CRM records, and business strategy using client insights.
