Requirements

Applicants must have a Grade 12 or Senior Certificate.

Applicants must have a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Accounting, Financial Management or a relevant qualification within the related field.

Applicants must have one to three yearsโ€™ experience in a financial environment management or related field.

Applicants must have knowledge of financial management, accounting and business practices.

Knowledge of BAS, LOGIS and PERSAL is required.

Applicants must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Applicants must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Applicants must be able to multi-task and perform general administration duties.

Duties

The successful candidate will facilitate the processing of creditor payments within 30 days.

Duties include checking the accuracy of invoices and the authenticity of supporting documents.

The candidate will prepare and submit paid batches for filing.

The successful candidate will respond to queries from service providers.

Additional duties include preparing monthly creditor accounts, following up on creditor queries from creditor reconciliations and processing salary-related transactions.

The candidate will prepare and submit monthly expenditure reports and maintain a payment register to track all forms of payments.

The role also includes preparing in-year monitoring reports, preparing expenditure report documentation according to programme responsibility codes and monitoring expenditure patterns.

The successful candidate will identify misallocations of funds, support budget processes including MTEF, AENE and ENE, and assist with cash flow management.

Shortlisted candidates will undertake a pre-entry practical exercise as part of the assessment process.

All shortlisted candidates will also undertake two pre-entry assessments: a practical exercise and an integrity assessment.

Suitable candidates will be subjected to personnel suitability checks, including criminal record, citizenship, credit record, qualification verification and employment verification.
