Post Title: Lecturer – Apparel Technology

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in apparel or related discipline
  • Undergraduate qualifications must include apparel production/technology
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant teaching or apparel industry experience
  • Sound knowledge of:
    • Garment construction
    • Apparel production methods
    • Quality management
    • Work-study and operations management
    • Apparel supply chain

Additional Recommendations:

  • Experience teaching in Higher Education
  • Industry background in apparel manufacturing or retail
  • Strong portfolio and references
  • Skills in mentoring, training, team leadership, and problem-solving
  • Strategic thinking and high initiative

Summary of Duties:

  • Lecture and facilitate learning in apparel product operations and process-related subjects
  • Prepare and deliver course material and assessments
  • Assist in curriculum development
  • Perform administrative tasks as delegated by the Head of Department
