Duties
The successful candidates will render clerical services to the Military Legal Services.
Duties include performing routine clerical duties, handling routine correspondence, processing documents such as letters, notices, memorandums and submissions, answering and making telephone calls, taking notes and typing documents.
The candidates will also submit inland, expenditure and accommodation claims, manage the diary of the officer in charge, receive visitors, arrange refreshments, file documents, compile letters, perform basic calculations, maintain statistics and receive or transmit messages using a fax machine.

The successful candidates will provide secretarial and receptionist support services to the Director.
Duties include receiving telephone calls, referring calls to the correct role players, recording appointments and events, typing documents, operating office equipment such as fax machines, scanners and photocopiers, and arranging meetings and events.
The candidates will also liaise with travel agencies, process travel and subsistence claims, process invoices, record basic minutes, draft routine correspondence and reports, file documents, administer leave registers, telephone accounts and attendance registers, receive and distribute documents, handle procurement of standard office items, prepare briefing notes and maintain manual and electronic filing systems.

Important Notes for Applicants

Applicants must use the correct Z83 form, which came into effect on 01 January 2021. Applications submitted on the incorrect Z83 form will be disqualified.
The Z83 form must be originally signed and dated by the applicant. Applicants applying for more than one post must submit a separate Z83 form and supporting documents for each post.
Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of qualifications and other related documents on or before the day of the interview. Certified copies must not be older than six months.
