Administrative Assistant: Development Planning Ref No: DCOG-AA
Salary: R280 278 per annum, Level 06

Requirements
Applicants must have a Senior Certificate or a three-year National Diploma, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4 or 6 as recognised by SAQA.
No experience is required.
Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Excel and Outlook.
Required generic competencies include quality of work, reliability, initiative, communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, planning and execution.
Technical competency required for this post is office administration.
Duties
The successful candidate will maintain an efficient filing system and manage the flow of documents in the unit.
Duties include receiving and distributing documents, recording documents in appropriate registers, establishing an effective document tracking system and providing secretarial support services.
The candidate will also coordinate and prepare documentation for meetings and workshops, compile minutes and reports, administer the supervisorโs diary, arrange appointments and record events.
Additional duties include arranging logistics for travel, meetings, workshops and conferences, purchasing and ordering stationery and equipment, coordinating assets and inventory in the unit, and making copies, faxing and emailing documents when required.

Requirements
Applicants must have a Grade 12 Certificate or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4 as recognised by SAQA.
Applicants must have five yearsโ driving experience.
A Code 8 or Code B driverโs licence is required.
Required generic competencies include quality of work, initiative, interpersonal relations, planning and execution, reliability, communication and teamwork.
Technical competencies include driving, physical inspection of vehicles and the ability to interpret instructions for the proper and safe use of vehicle controls.
Duties
The successful candidate will collect, distribute and deliver documents, equipment and parcels between various Department of Cooperative Governance buildings, external clients and service providers.
Duties include assisting with chauffeur services, conducting daily vehicle inspections, reporting defects, dropping off and collecting vehicles booked for service or repairs, assisting with the issuing of vehicles and reconciling logbooks.
