Location: Laingsburg, Western Cape
Salary: R237,046 – R272,581 per annum
Requirements:
- Grade 12 and minimum 2 years’ conservation experience
- Valid driver’s license (3 years+)
- Proficiency in law enforcement, ecological monitoring, and firefighting
- Physically fit and able to swim
- Bilingual in at least 2 Western Cape official languages
- No criminal record
Recommended:
- National Diploma in Nature Conservation
- Peace Officer’s Certificate, EMI Grade 5, ICS 100
- 4×4 driving skills and GIS experience

Location: Paarl, Western Cape
Salary: R896,444 – R1,035,752 per annum
Requirements:
- NQF Level 7 in Nature/Environmental Conservation or Management
- 3–5 years in Nature Conservation management
- Valid Code B driver’s license with own vehicle
- No criminal record
- Project management experience and ICS 100 & 200 certifications
Recommended:
- Master’s in Natural Sciences/Environmental Management
- Experience in World Heritage Site management, incident response
- Proficient in GIS, leadership, HR, finance, procurement
Post Title: Conservation Assistant (Level 2) – De Mond Nature Reserve
Location: Bredasdorp, Western Cape
Salary: R181,505 – R200,637 per annum
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with 2 years’ related experience
- Valid Code B driver’s license (2 years+)
- Physically fit and able to perform conservation and maintenance duties
- Computer literacy and no criminal record
Recommended:
- Tool and infrastructure maintenance experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Supervisory skills
