Specialist: Contracts

Requirements

Applicants must have a three-year formal relevant tertiary qualification.

A commercial qualification and CIPS qualification will be an added advantage.

Applicants must have five yearsโ€™ experience in Supply Chain Management.

Of the five yearsโ€™ experience, three years should be at Specialist level.

Applicants must have contract management and administration experience.

Experience in compliance management and supplier management is required.

Applicants must have detailed knowledge of legislation such as PPPFA, PFMA and BBBEE.

Applicants must be legally oriented and have administrative competency.

Critical analysis and report writing skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will compile contracts and ensure that all requirements are met and that value is gained.

Duties include administering and managing the lifecycle of contracts and any contract alterations.

The candidate will monitor contract progress and track the quality of service providers through service provider and end-user feedback.

The successful candidate will manage the administration and negotiation of contract renewals and issue amendments where required.

The role includes managing, reviewing and updating the contract database.

The candidate will ensure the scanning, SharePoint storage, safekeeping and archiving of all contracts.

The successful candidate will recommend payments consistent with contract terms.

Duties include developing a timetable with start and end dates for each performance component.

The candidate will monitor supplier activity to identify problem areas and meet with suppliers or contractors regularly to review progress, discuss problems and consider required changes.

The successful candidate will research change requests submitted by contractors and evaluate the merit of changes by reviewing contracts, plans and specifications and liaising with stakeholders.

The role includes reviewing and investigating vendor disputes or rebates to determine validity and arrange payment where required.

The candidate will manage contract value and complexity and resolve contract disputes timeously.

The successful candidate will monitor contractor progress and performance to ensure goods and services conform to contract requirements.

The candidate will monitor contract expiry dates and inform end-users accordingly.

Additional duties include updating contract status, liaising with end-users and generating weekly, monthly and annual contract reports.

The role also includes calculating and documenting total contract costs, including indirect cost allocation for goods and services, and generating contract activity reports.

IT Specialist: Cybersecurity

Requirements

Applicants must have a Diploma, BSc or BTech in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Engineering.

ITIL certification or COBIT certification is required.

Applicants must have CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM or a relevant industry equivalent certification.

Applicants must have more than four yearsโ€™ experience in systems development, infrastructure management and systems support.

Of the required experience, two years must be at Specialist level.

Applicants must have training in industry standards such as ITIL and quality standards such as ISO17790, with experience applying them in IT within a business environment.

Applicants must have high-level knowledge of storage, server, messaging, desktop technologies and hosting facilities management, including air conditioning and power standards.

Membership of a computer association and engineering council is required.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide support, design solutions and maintain internet services and related infrastructure to ensure effective and efficient services.

Duties include supporting internet protocols, services and standards such as DNS, email, web proxy, content filtering and VPN technologies.

The candidate will develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorised modification, destruction or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.

The successful candidate will monitor computer virus reports to determine when virus protection systems must be updated.

The role includes documenting computer security and emergency measures, policies, procedures and tests.

The candidate will provide first-line and second-line desktop support to users.

Duties include installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.

The successful candidate will support operating systems, including Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.

The candidate will manage user accounts, passwords, permissions and access controls.

Additional duties include device patching, updates and endpoint security configurations.

The role includes managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and file services.

The candidate will monitor server health, logs and security events.

The successful candidate will administer Windows Server and Linux server environments.

The role includes configuring and managing virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V and supporting identity and access management processes.

The candidate will provide remote hands support for regional centres and desktop PC support, including troubleshooting, upgrades and installation of PC hardware and software.

The successful candidate will optimise backup strategies for the server environment and manage weekly backup tape solutions.

The candidate will troubleshoot and address weekly backup failures.

The role includes operational support, incident management, root cause analysis of system and application failures and engineering solutions.

The successful candidate will develop functional, technical and design specifications for document systems requirements.

Duties include providing informal training sessions for end-users and verifying the content of documents produced.

The candidate will work closely with users, solution architects, developers and testers.

The role includes Outlook Web Access configuration and user support, including secure access.

The candidate will troubleshoot Outlook issues, configure Outlook and maintain email groups.

The successful candidate will monitor and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and web filtering solutions.

The role includes configuring, troubleshooting and supporting LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN environments.
