Post Title: Graphic Designer: Strategic and Operational Support

Reference Number: EADP 06/2025
Salary: R397 116 – R467 790 per annum (Level 08), plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Code B (or higher) driver’s licence (or alternative transport if disabled)

Competencies:

  • Design and colour theory
  • Layout principles, branding, exhibition, and reproduction techniques
  • MS Office and digital illustration software
  • Detail-oriented, creative, team player, time management, and multi-tasking skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create designs, sample layouts, and visual communication products
  • Develop graphics for publications, websites, and branding
  • Consult with clients/stakeholders to determine design objectives and formats
  • Produce sketches, illustrations, and diagrams for approval
  • Maintain an archive of creative materials
  • Prepare print-ready artwork and advise on brand application
  • Ensure all visual outputs align with the department’s communication goals
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
