Requirements

Applicants must have an LLB Degree or a four-year legal qualification.

Applicants must have at least two years’ legal experience obtained after qualification.

For MR3, applicants must have an LLB degree or equivalent qualification plus at least two years’ post-qualification experience in a legal profession.

For MR4, applicants must have an LLB degree or equivalent qualification plus at least eight years’ post-qualification experience in a legal profession.

For MR5, applicants must have an LLB degree or equivalent qualification plus at least 14 years’ post-qualification experience in a legal profession.

A valid driver’s licence is required.

Superior court or litigation experience and supervisory experience will serve as added advantages.

Applicants must have knowledge of Case Flow Management and legislative frameworks governing the Public Service.

Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Duties

The successful candidate will coordinate Case Flow Management and provide administrative support to the judiciary.

Duties include complying with court rules and relevant prescripts.

The candidate will handle taxation of bills of cost and manage the issuing of processes and initiation of court proceedings.

The role includes coordinating appeals and reviews and attending to requests from the judiciary regarding cases and case-related matters.

The successful candidate will issue or sign court orders and letters to attorneys and litigants on behalf of the court.

The candidate will keep, check and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual court statistics and monitor their submission.

The role includes implementing effective court file administration and records management.

The candidate will deal with files according to relevant codes and legislation, prepare files for audit purposes and ensure records are submitted for translation.

The successful candidate will attend to public queries and correspondence, manage office administration and supervise staff and related HR processes.

The candidate will attach prescribed documentation to Creditor Payment Advises and maintain a manual or computerised register of processed payments.

The successful candidate will provide information on the status of creditors to relevant line managers.

The role includes maintaining and updating the Procurement Status Report.

The candidate will render asset management clerical support, compile and maintain asset records and databases, issue furniture and equipment, identify obsolete assets and verify the asset register.

The successful candidate will render demand and acquisition clerical support and implement the preference points system in line with Preferential Procurement Policy objectives.

The role includes logistical support during bid consideration and contract conclusion processes.

The candidate will process purchase orders, verify contracts, capture source documents, place orders with suppliers, draft letters of award where required and maintain procurement records.

The successful candidate will support monthly SCM reporting, administer day-to-day procurement of goods and services, file documents for audit purposes, administer stores and compile SCM reports.

The candidate will monitor files and records, support administrative registrar duties, submit leave forms to HR and maintain registers for filing and archiving.

Duties include reviewing quarterly and annual SDC and SDIP reporting templates, developing and editing draft Service Delivery Improvement reports and quality assuring submissions.

The role includes compiling monthly and quarterly performance reports for Strategy and Service Delivery Planning.

The candidate will source portfolio of evidence documents, upload evidence to the reporting system and ensure submission of evidence to relevant units.

The successful candidate will provide clerical administrative support, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, update records management systems and support SharePoint filing and archiving.

The role also includes ad hoc administrative duties, distribution of unit documents and logistical arrangements for travel, meetings and workshops.
