Requirements
Applicants must have Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4.
Applicants must also have a Diploma, Advanced Certificate or National Diploma at NQF Level 6, specialising in Humanities, Social Sciences, Psychology, Counselling, Investigation, Social Work, Criminology or another relevant qualification or certificate.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience in administration or client interaction.
Alternatively, applicants must have at least one year of experience in field investigation or evaluation.
A valid driverโs licence and own vehicle are essential.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have computer literacy.
Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Report writing skills are required.
Applicants must have listening skills and interpersonal relations skills.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving and reasoning ability are required.
Applicants must have knowledge of vetting fieldwork.
Applicants must be able to capture data, operate a computer and collect information.
Applicants must have knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework of the public service.
Duties
The successful candidates will be responsible for planning and preparing files and other relevant administration.
Duties include conducting documentary enquiries, gathering information and conducting vetting investigations through interviews.
The successful candidates will write reports based on documentary enquiries and interviews.
The candidates will compile and submit reports to the Director: Vetting Management on required vetting files and reports completed regularly.
Additional duties include providing inputs for the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, norms and standards in vetting investigations.

Successful candidates will be appointed on probation for 12 months.
Kilometre claims will be reimbursed according to applicable tariffs.
The first three months will be training and will be compensated by a stipend of R8 174.75.
