1) Senior Manager: Employment and Labour Law
Location: Groenkloof National Park (Head Office), Pretoria
Salary: R1 115 100.00 – R1 672 650.00 per annum

Requirements
- Legal degree (B Juris, B Proc, LLB) and must be an Admitted Attorney
- NQF Level 9 postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
- 10 years’ legal experience (minimum 5 years in Employment & Labour Law and in a managerial role)
- 5 years’ administrative law experience (PAIA/PAJA), PFMA, labour law, and interpretation of statutes
- Knowledge: Labour Law, PFMA, PAIA/PAJA, governance and compliance, organisational policies, business strategy
Responsibilities
- Ensure SANParks policies comply with relevant legislation and advise on policy matters
- Provide legal opinions and support on labour and employment law (LRA, BCEA, EEA and related laws)
- Manage litigation for the unit and support PAIA requests (information officer support)
- Strengthen governance compliance, audits, risk mitigation, and best-practice HCM policy standards
- Monitor labour law changes and update organisational practices
- Build stakeholder relationships and prepare reports for EXCO/Board/regulators
- Maintain records of disputes, settlements and legal precedents

2) Principal Planner (Cape Region)

Requirements
- Degree (NQF Level 7) in Conservation Management / Town & Regional Planning / Environmental Studies
- 4–6 years relevant experience (environmental consulting, government, or conservation NGOs)
- GIS/map generation skills

Responsibilities
- Provide planning inputs for municipal plans and spatial frameworks
- Comment on EIAs, land use bylaws, and buffer-zone applications
- Coordinate public participation processes where required
- Compile sensitivity maps and manage environmental/heritage compliance registers

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) / BTech / Advanced Diploma in Conservation or Natural Resource Management (or equivalent)
- EMI Grade 2 designation (compulsory) or must qualify within stipulated period
- Valid driver’s license (Code A and B; ideally EC)
- Environmental legislation knowledge (Protected Areas Act, Biodiversity Act, Fire Act, Water Act)
- Firearm competencies and experience (handgun, self-loading rifle, manually operated rifle, shotgun)
- 3–5 years relevant experience (with 3 years supervising field ranger teams)
- PFMA knowledge (HCM-related) and intermediate MS Office skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage section environmental management, ranger deployments, and ethics standards
