Role Purpose
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will support the development and execution of Broadband Infraco’s corporate strategy while providing leadership in financial management, governance, supply chain management, and risk oversight. The role is critical to ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and long-term growth of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CEO in developing and implementing the company strategy and corporate plan
- Develop and implement financial and supply chain management strategies
- Oversee capital budgeting, pricing, asset management, and project finance
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure unqualified audit outcomes
- Provide financial input and due diligence support for acquisitions and projects
- Secure funding and oversee its implementation
- Monitor budgets and financial plans in line with approved delegations
- Manage cash flow, borrowings, interest, and currency exposure
- Mitigate financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensure adherence to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements
- Lead engagements with executive management and key stakeholders on financial performance
- Manage organisational resources, including people, finance, and assets
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Matric / Grade 12
- BCom (Hons) Degree
- Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA)
- Professional registration with SAICA
- Minimum 10 years’ post-articles experience in financial and accounting management
- At least 5 years’ experience at Executive level
- Minimum 5 years’ senior financial management experience in the public sector or a State-Owned Company (SOC)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management within the public sector or SOC environment
- ICT industry experience will be an added advantage
