Job Purpose
To render a professional corporate driver messenger service to clients of the City of Tshwane, ensuring effective, efficient, and sustainable administration across the municipality’s operations.
Appointment Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Grade 10 certificate
- Experience: Relevant working experience
- Driver’s Licence: Valid Code B driver’s licence
- Health: Physically fit and healthy (ability to walk long distances, handle trolleys, and carry documents)
- Screening: Must undergo a criminal record check and allow fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department (at own cost)

Primary Functions
- Execute driving duties between buildings and depots
- Report vehicle accidents and losses for insurance and repair purposes
- Collect and deliver post and other municipal documentation across Tshwane
- Deliver goods and documents after hours and over weekends when required
- Transport materials to municipal events
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (water, oil, fuel) and report faults
- Maintain vehicle log sheets and ensure compliance with corporate fleet policies
- Assist with moving office furniture and equipment as necessary
