Purpose of the Job:
To ensure that Armscor operations are compliant with environmental, health, and safety regulations and conducted without harm to the environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Essential)
- BTech / BSc in Engineering, Health, Safety, or Environmental Sciences (Essential)
Technical / Legal Certification / Registration:
- Registered SHE Auditor (Essential)
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- SHE Legislation and Regulations knowledge (NEMA & OHSACT)
Experience Required:
- 4–7 years of relevant experience (Essential)
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in developing and implementing the Corporate SHE Audit Plan
- Perform audits and inspections in line with SHE criteria
- Engage with government departments to ensure compliance
- Drive SHE awareness and training across the organisation
- Investigate incidents and ensure follow-through on corrective actions
- Participate in SHE Committee meetings
- Develop, review and maintain SHE procedures and HIRA Registers
Knowledge & Functional Skills:
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 auditing (lead auditor is an advantage)
- Sound understanding of Environmental Law and SHE legislation
- Skilled in SHE incident investigation and environmental impact assessments (EIAs)
