The University of Limpopo is seeking qualified and passionate individuals to fill several lecturer positions across various departments within the School of Accountancy and the Department of Business Management. These positions aim to strengthen the university’s teaching, research, and community engagement activities.

1. Lecturer: Auditing
School of Accountancy
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in accounting or membership of a professional accounting body (e.g., ACCA, SAICA).
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards for Auditing (ISAs).
- Proficiency in digital tools (MS Word, Excel, and internet applications).
Duties:
- Teach undergraduate auditing courses.
- Provide lectures, tutorials, and student mentorship.
- Develop and regularly update study materials.
- Set assessments and contribute to research initiatives.
2. Lecturer: Business Management (Four Posts)
Department of Business Management
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Business Management.
- At least two years’ teaching experience at a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated interest in research.
Duties:
- Teach modules such as Entrepreneurship, Operations Management, Marketing Management, and Strategic Management.
- Contribute to research and third-stream activities.
- Engage in community outreach and departmental activities.
3. Lecturer: Financial Accounting
School of Accountancy
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in accounting or membership of an accounting professional body (e.g., SAICA, ACCA, CIMA).
- At least three years’ relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Duties:
- Teach undergraduate financial accounting courses.
- Coordinate lectures, tutorials, and provide student mentorship.
- Regularly update course materials in line with the curriculum.
- Set and grade assessments and participate in research and community outreach.
4. Lecturer: Financial Management
School of Accountancy
Requirements:
- Member of a professional accounting body (e.g., SAICA, CIMA) or a Master’s degree in Accountancy.
- A minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of Management Accounting and Finance.
Duties:
- Teach management accounting and finance courses at the undergraduate level.
- Provide mentorship, coordinate courses, and contribute to research and community outreach.
5. Lecturer: Human Resources Management (Four Posts)
Department of Business Management
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of two years’ teaching experience at a tertiary level.
- A demonstrated interest in research.
Duties:
- Teach modules in Labour Relations, Career Management, and Organisational Behaviour.
- Contribute to research and department activities.
- Participate in community engagement efforts.
6. Lecturer: Taxation
School of Accountancy
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in accountancy or membership of an accounting professional body (e.g., ACCA, SAICA, SAIT, CIMA).
- At least three years’ experience.
- Knowledge of South African tax legislation.
Duties:
- Teach undergraduate taxation courses.
- Coordinate lectures and tutorials and develop study material.
- Set assessments and participate in research and community outreach.
7. Senior Lecturer: Financial Accounting (Two Posts)
School of Accountancy
Requirements:
- Membership of an accounting professional body (e.g., SAICA, ACCA, CIMA) and a Master’s degree, or a PhD in Accountancy.
- At least three years of lecturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Duties:
- Teach financial accounting at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Coordinate lectures, tutorials, and student mentorship.
- Engage in research and contribute to community engagement initiatives.
