Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to fill multiple part-time lecturer positions in the Department of Technology and Vocational Education within the Faculty of Humanities. These positions will allow successful candidates to teach a range of subjects at the Soshanguve North Campus.

- Curriculum and Instruction (CII105D) – Level 1: 1 Post
- Engineering Graphics and Design (UEG306D) – Level 3: 1 Post
- Adult and Community Education Management (AEG306D) – Level 3: 1 Post
- Information Technology (FIT106P) – Part-time Lecturer
Key Responsibilities
As a part-time lecturer at TUT, your primary duties will include:
- Teaching the above-listed subjects to students enrolled in the Adult and Community Education and Training and Advanced Diploma in Technical and Vocational Teaching programs.
- Incorporating digital tools and online learning management systems (LMS) for effective teaching and learning.
- Engaging in teaching practice and industry-based learning activities.
- Contributing to research initiatives within the department.
- Participating in community projects and institutional activities.
- Managing administrative tasks related to the courses you teach.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
For Curriculum and Instruction, Engineering Graphics and Design, and Adult and Community Education Management Lecturers:
- A Master’s degree in Education or a related field (e.g., M Tech in Education).
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience or 3 years of industrial experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in using technology for online teaching is highly recommended.
- Registration with SACE (South African Council for Educators) is required.
For Information Technology Lecturer:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science + PGCE or a Master’s in Education with a Computer Science Degree.
- 3 years of teaching or industrial experience.
- Experience in programming (DELPHI, VB, JAVA, C++) is required.
- SACE Registration is mandatory.
