Assistant Finance Administrator

  • Type: Contract Position
  • Requirements:
    • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Accounting.
    • At least 1 year of experience in an Accounting or Finance environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    • Knowledge and understanding of accounting systems.
    • Public sector experience will be an advantage.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support stakeholders in discretionary grants and administration payments.
    • Verify payment claims and upload invoices on Sage X3.
    • Capture new vendors and update banking details.
    • Prepare finance payment requisitions and creditors reconciliations.
    • Maintain accurate finance records and support audits.
    • Perform weekly bank reconciliations and assist in asset management.
    • Update commitment registers and support knowledge sharing among the team.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong administrative and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation abilities.
    • Good understanding of financial management, accounting software, GRAP, and relevant legislation.
