Key Responsibilities

  • Configure internet infrastructure and services.
  • Provide support and maintenance for internet applications and security infrastructure.
  • Handle incident and problem management.
  • Coordinate change control activities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
    • 3-Year National Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Networks (NQF Level 6).
    • Open-source certifications (advantageous).
    • CCNA/CCNP (added advantage).
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in internet and security services support.

Technical Competencies Required

  • Internet protocols and standards: DNS, email, web proxy, content filtering.
  • VPNs: MPLS, Remote Access, IPSEC, ISAKMP.
  • Firewall technologies and computer/network security principles.
  • Routing & Switching, Service Level Management.
  • Mail Cleansing (Anti-spam), Internet Peering.
  • Virtualisation (UNIX host), Security Governance (relevant government acts).
  • Project Management and Service Governance principles.
