Legal Secretary – High Court (5 Posts)

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Business Administration or Law-related qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant business/law administration experience
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage diaries, meetings, court rolls, and confidential documentation

Key Duties:

  • Prepare court documents and statements
  • Support legal research
  • Manage office correspondence, diaries, and document filing
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date documentation and court rolls

Manager: Determination

  • Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract (18 Months)
  • Salary: R891,176.00 per annum

Requirements:

  • Four-year Degree in Law or equivalent
  • Admission as an Attorney of the High Court or Advocate
  • 6-8 years’ experience in claims environment with 2 years in management/supervisory roles
  • Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) is advantageous

Key Duties:

  • Develop and implement departmental policies and operational plans
  • Manage litigation processes and case flow
  • Oversee quality assurance activities
  • Ensure efficient resource (human, financial, equipment) management
  • Conduct performance appraisals and staff development
  • Ensure compliance with audit, risk management, and financial control standards
