Salary Range: R 256,395 – R 410,565 per annum (Excluding benefits)

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A National Diploma/Degree in a relevant field, or a minimum of N3-N6 with a Trade Test.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience.
  • A Teacher’s Qualification is advantageous.
  • Training experience in a similar field will be an added benefit.
  • In-depth knowledge of boilermaking theory and practice.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Registered Assessor and Moderator qualification is an added advantage.
  • A valid driver’s license is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires a proactive approach to teaching, learning, and student support. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating an environment conducive to learning and maintaining discipline within the classroom and workshop.
  • Facilitating both theoretical and practical learning experiences for students in boilermaking.
  • Conducting assessments and implementing academic interventions to support student success.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance registers and addressing issues of absenteeism.
  • Regularly visiting industry partners to strengthen industry relationships and align learning with real-world demands.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and repair of workshop machinery.
  • Supporting students and management in various aspects of academic and practical work.
