Requirements

Applicants must have an appropriate three-year National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Asset Management, or Cost and Management Accounting at NQF Level 6 as recognised by SAQA.

Applicants must have at least three yearsโ€™ junior management experience in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, Asset Management, Financial Accounting or Inventory Control.

A valid driverโ€™s licence is required.

Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of supply chain management policies and procedures, asset management, inventory control, reconciliation and disposal processes, PFMA and regulations, Treasury Regulations, Treasury Practice Notes, SCM delegations, disposal processes, SCM Practice Notes, Hardcat System, BAS, SCM systems, PPPFA, Public Service Regulations and related labour and service delivery legislation.

The successful candidate will manage physical asset management.

Supply Chain Management Clerk: Provisioning Ref No: PROV 02/JULY 2026

Requirements

Applicants must have an appropriate Grade 12 or Matric Senior Certificate in Accounting, Mathematics and English.

Applicants must have a basic understanding of the supply chain management environment.

Applicants must have knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, relevant Practice Notes, project management, SCM framework and principles, Batho Pele principles, Code of Conduct for SCM Practitioners, Constitution of South Africa, departmental procurement procedures, Public Service Act and relevant SCM Instruction Notes.

Required skills include computer literacy, interpersonal relations, time management, organising, planning, language proficiency, listening, communication, presentation, analysis, report writing, problem-solving, negotiation, research, conflict management and driving skills.

Requirements

Applicants must have Grade 12 and a Code B driverโ€™s licence for light motor vehicles.

Applicants must have at least one year of driving experience.

A Professional Driving Permit will be an added advantage.

Applicants must have knowledge of sorting and distribution procedures, the public service regulatory framework, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, departmental policies and circulars, public service functioning and motor vehicles.

Applicants must be self-motivated and able to work independently towards set deadlines.

Required skills include verbal and written communication, good interpersonal relations, record maintenance, technical skills and driving skills.

Duties

The successful candidate will drive light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and other items such as mail, documents and transferred assets.

Duties include conducting routine maintenance on allocated vehicles, reporting defects in time, completing required records and logbooks for vehicles and goods handled, and rendering messenger services in the Department.
