Minimum Requirements:
- B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering / National Diploma / Pr Tech Engineering (NQF Level 7)
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer / Technologist
- Code EB driverβs license
- 5 years relevant project management experience (3 years in a municipal environment)
- Government Certificate of Competency (advantageous)
- Experience in water and sewer infrastructure planning, operations, and SCADA analysis
- Knowledge of flow analysis and wastewater treatment
- Financial costing, MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
- Proficiency in at least two official Kouga languages (Afrikaans, English, Xhosa)
Key Performance Areas:
- Define short-term objectives aligned with municipal engineering functionality
- Manage project team performance, expenditure, and outcomes
- Prepare and manage capital and operational budgets
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical infrastructure works
- Oversee implementation of occupational health and safety regulations
- Disseminate updates and address challenges within the department
- Prepare performance and compliance reports
