Posts, Requirements and Duties
1) Artisan Foreman Grade A–B (Electrical / Building / Civil / Plumbing / Mechanical)
Ref: H/A/3/2025
Salary: Grade A: R382 047 – R433 176 p.a. • Grade B: R453 609 – R571 089 p.a. (all-inclusive package – OSD)
Centre: Bongani Regional Hospital, Welkom
Requirements:
- Relevant Trade Test Certificate (as per Manpower Training Act).
- 5 years post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
- Knowledge of OHS Act and PFMA; valid driver’s licence.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).
Duties:
- Design and produce work to spec; quality-assure outputs.
- Inspect, test, service and repair equipment/machinery per standards and schedules.
- Prepare specs and procurement files for services, materials and consumables.
- Compile reports; contribute to the operational plan; enforce safety standards.
- Supervise & mentor staff; plan resources and schedules; keep skills current.

Requirements:
- Completed Apprenticeship and Trade Test (Manpower Training Act).
- Valid driver’s licence; Computer literacy.

Duties:
- Produce designs/objects to spec and standard; quality assurance.
- Inspect facilities/equipment for faults; repair and test machinery to spec.
- Execute preventive maintenance per plan; maintain job registers/records.
- Compile reports; support operational planning; supervise/mentor where required.

3) Supply Chain Practitioner

Requirements:
- Senior Certificate PLUS National Diploma/Degree in Financial Management.
- 5–7 years SCM experience; valid driver’s licence.
- Sound knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, SCM Framework, B-BBEE Act; MS Office.
Duties:
- Oversee Demand, Acquisition, Logistics, Warehouse, Assets & Contract Management.
- Align procurement with plans and SCM policy; ensure compliance and internal controls.
- Lead risk management, internal audits, reporting, returns and stock control.
- Guide users on specs; compile demand & procurement plans; manage PMDS and training.

4) Security Officer Manager

Requirements:
- Senior Certificate + National Diploma (NQF 6) in Security Management/Security Risk Management/Policing.
- 1–2 years’ security management experience; PSIRA Grade B; valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of access control, MISS/NISA, Protection of Information Act; computer & communication skills; fit and available 24/7.
Duties:
- Manage access control, patrols, emergency procedures and control-room/CCTV operations.
- Enforce safeguarding of equipment, documents and stores; verify registers/occurrence books.
- Investigate security incidents; liaise with SAPS; compile reports.
- Manage personnel (leave, overtime, shifts, uniform) and security service procurement.

Requirements:
- Senior Certificate; 5 years relevant security experience; PSIRA (Security Officer Grade).
- Driver’s licence (advantage); knowledge of access control, MISS/NISA, Protection of Information Act; CCTV/control-room practice; fit and available 24/7.
Duties:
- Supervise security services and CCTV; compile rosters; manage leave and discipline.
- Identify risks; ensure patrols and perimeter security; conduct preliminary investigations.
- Perform access control; apply emergency procedures; safeguard departmental assets.
- Maintain registers/incident logs; process timesheets; submit monthly reports.
