Case Administrator Ref No: CC2026/05/02

The Case Administrator will provide administrative and client care support for the effective registration and processing of complaints. The successful candidate will report to the Case Admin Manager.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.

A National Diploma in Business Administration or a related field is required. A legal qualification will be an added advantage.

Applicants must have at least one to three years’ experience in a regulatory or compliance-driven environment within the financial services sector.

Candidates must also have one to three years’ customer service experience and experience using customer relationship management software.

Applicants must have an understanding of the legal environment in which the FAIS Ombud operates, including knowledge of the FAIS Act, 37 of 2002, and related legislation.

A thorough understanding of the FAIS Ombud’s jurisdiction, the jurisdiction of other Ombud schemes and the financial planning environment is also required.

Duties

The successful candidate will register new complaints and assess whether complaints fall within the jurisdiction of the FAIS Act or the Financial Services Ombuds Scheme Act.

Key duties include assisting complainants to determine whether their complaints fall within the FAIS Ombud’s jurisdiction, extracting the main issue from complaint information, requesting additional information where needed, and referring complaints outside the FAIS Ombud’s jurisdiction to relevant entities.

The candidate will also liaise with complainants and financial services providers.

Required competencies include computer literacy, good administrative skills, active listening, attention to detail, good communication skills, interpersonal skills, diligence, energy and teamwork.

The successful candidate must be mature, able to handle confidential information and able to communicate in two or more official languages.
