Applicants must have a minimum four-year LLB degree with at least eight yearsโ appropriate post-qualification legal experience.

Duties
The successful candidate will manage the provision of general legal advisory support services to the Department and Ministry.
Duties include managing all litigious matters for and against the Department and Ministry.
The candidate will manage legal advisory services on the drafting, vetting and amendment of contracts.
Additional duties include exploring efficiency measures, providing general legal opinions to line functions and liaising with the Office of the State Attorney.
The candidate will consult, provide instructions and facilitate the compilation of documents in litigation cases.
The successful candidate will manage litigation and debt files and attend to PAIA and PAJA requests from line functions.

Additional duties include facilitating implementation of lease agreement conditions, tracking payments and deadlines and arranging recoveries based on instructions from Legal Services or State Attorneys.
The candidate will investigate the utilisation of State properties, undertake site visits and condition surveys and process the registration of servitudes over State-owned land.
The successful candidate will prepare and share information on contract status, facilitate contractor meetings and prepare documentation to resolve disputes.
