Required knowledge includes the Public Service, Cabinet and Parliamentary systems, government coordinating systems and structures, government programmes, policies and legislation, intergovernmental framework, spheres of government, national, provincial and local dynamics, and government planning systems.

Duties
The successful candidate will promote collaboration between the Minister and departments with related mandates. Duties include supporting departmental participation in cluster work, coordinating reports to Cabinet Lekgotla, acting as a link between the Department and government clusters, participating in cluster task teams, and providing secretariat support to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on land reform and agriculture.
The post also includes coordinating the implementation of the Programme of Action, supporting intergovernmental relations, facilitating integrated planning across government spheres, supporting the District Development Model, managing intergovernmental relations forums, and promoting external and international stakeholder relations.
