Purpose of the Post
The purpose of the post is to manage, coordinate and provide state-owned entities corporate governance and oversight services.
Requirements
Applicants must have an appropriate NQF Level 7 degree in Auditing, Law, Accounting, Corporate Governance or a relevant equivalent qualification as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority.
Applicants must have five yearsโ experience at middle or senior management level in enterprise or state-owned entities corporate governance oversight services of organisations or public entities.
A postgraduate qualification in Corporate Governance will be an added advantage.
Applicants must have advanced competencies in strategic capability and leadership, government administrative processes, people management and empowerment, programme and project management, financial management, service delivery innovation, problem-solving and analysis, client orientation, customer focus and communication.
Applicants must have knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
Applicants must have knowledge of the Companies Act, 2008, and the King IV Report on Corporate Governance in South Africa.
Applicants must be able to review and analyse governance documents, frameworks, processes and submissions.
Applicants must be able to interpret governance legislation and policy frameworks, assess compliance with policies and laws, conduct basic research, apply analytical thinking and compile reports.
Duties
The successful candidate will manage and drive the development, review and implementation of the Departmental shareholder governance framework.
Duties include managing and monitoring shareholder governance instruments applicable to assigned entities, including shareholder compacts, governance agreements and Memoranda of Incorporation.
The candidate will manage assessments of governance performance and compliance of state-owned entities with shareholder compacts, governance agreements and other governance instruments.
The successful candidate will assess board governance, board and committee evaluations, executive evaluations and implementation of governance improvement plans.
The candidate will manage board appointment and remuneration processes and analyse executive appointment submissions from assigned entities.
Additional duties include preparing recommendations for Ministerial consideration, coordinating the Ministerโs participation in SOE governance structures, analysing SOE annual reports and supporting the tabling of annual reports.
The candidate will manage oversight of interventions arising from audit findings, assess audit implications and recommend corrective actions.
The candidate will also manage preliminary assessments of allegations of misconduct across the SOE portfolio, oversee formal investigations by external service providers and monitor implementation of investigation recommendations and corrective governance measures.

Purpose of the Post
The purpose of the post is to manage and coordinate the design and implementation of broadcasting technologies programmes and strategies to support the achievement of Departmental strategic objectives.
Requirements
Applicants must have an undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 7 in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, ICT, Engineering, Communication and Media Studies or an equivalent relevant field as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority.
Applicants must have at least three yearsโ experience in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, ICT or Engineering at Assistant Director level or middle management.
Applicants must understand digital broadcasting, signal distribution and broadcasting engineering principles.

Duties
The successful candidate will contribute technical insights to the development of broadcasting technologies programmes, strategies and plans.
Duties include coordinating the planning and implementation of national broadcasting infrastructure projects.
The candidate will coordinate the implementation of South Africaโs digital migration strategy from analogue to digital broadcasting.
The successful candidate will manage efficient use of broadcasting spectrum to improve service quality and expand access.
Additional duties include supporting the development and review of policies, regulations and technical standards that govern broadcasting services and technologies.
The candidate will support adoption and integration of emerging broadcasting technologies such as IPTV, OTT services and 5G broadcasting to support innovation and modernisation in the sector.
The candidate will collaborate with industry stakeholders, including public and private broadcasters, content creators, ICASA and international broadcasting organisations.
The successful candidate will also conduct oversight monitoring on implementation of projects and programmes within the broadcasting infrastructure directorate.
