Clerk: Assets Management and Insurance
This position will be stationed in Clanwilliam.
Salary
T7 Salary Scale:
R206 440.08 – R267 989.40 per annum plus normal municipal benefits.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12
- Code B driver’s licence
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good communication and administration skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to handle conflict
- Fluency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
- 0–2 years relevant experience
A post matric qualification such as a certificate or diploma in Property Asset Management, Finance or Property Valuation will be advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with managing the municipality’s assets and liabilities register
- Support fleet management services
- Assist with departmental and fleet budgets
- Ensure compliance of financial documentation
- Handle Supply Chain Management administration
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance reports and fleet movement
- Manage insurance-related incidents and reports
- Maintain stakeholder relationships
- Arrange disposal of assets according to legislation and policies
- Verify assets and maintain the fixed asset register in compliance with GRAP standards
