Purpose of the Post
The Change Management Practitioner will play a key role in ensuring that projects and change initiatives meet their objectives on time and within budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.
The successful candidate will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, technology, job roles and organisational structures.
The main responsibility of the role is to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage while minimising resistance.
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate will assist in the facilitation and implementation of change and transformation processes and activities.
Duties include providing business leadership with tools and processes to support business change initiatives.
The candidate will implement communication and training strategies designed to create organisational change.
The candidate will determine and measure change analytics to assess the effectiveness of change strategies.
The role also includes providing ongoing guidance and support to maintain enthusiasm and commitment to the change process.
The successful candidate will ensure that communication related to the department is accurate, transparent and continuous.
The candidate will also support Project Managers in the implementation of projects.
Key Requirements
Applicants must have a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Commerce or Administration.
A Change Management certification or designation will be desired.
Applicants must have five to seven yearsโ experience in large-scale organisational change efforts.
Knowledge
Applicants must have knowledge of HR information systems.
Applicants must have knowledge of relevant HR legislation.
Applicants must understand HR policies and procedures.
Applicants must have knowledge of the Labour Relations Act and its impact.
Applicants must understand compliance orientation, professional technical expertise, reporting, recruitment and selection.
Skills and Behavioural Competencies
Applicants must have strong attention to detail.
Applicants must have analysis, problem-solving and judgement skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
Applicants must have conflict management, diplomacy, diversity awareness, ethics, fairness, leadership and negotiation skills.
