Requirements

Applicants must have a Senior Certificate, Matric Certificate, Grade 12, NQF Level 4 or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants must also have one of the following built environment qualifications and experience:

National Higher Diploma in a built environment field with at least 18 monthsโ€™ experience.

Three-year Degree or National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in any built environment field with at least two yearsโ€™ experience.

BTech Degree at NQF Level 7 in any built environment field with at least one year of experience.

Honours Degree at NQF Level 8 in any built environment field with no experience required.

Applicants must have a Code 08 driverโ€™s licence.

Applicants must be willing to travel extensively and work irregular hours.

Compulsory registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Profession as a Candidate Construction Project Manager will be required upon appointment.

Applicants must have knowledge of the Government Immovable Asset Management Act and the Framework for Infrastructure Delivery and Procurement Management.

Contract management experience, including contract specification, oversight and monitoring, is required.

Applicants must have knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, legal compliance, research and development, computer-aided engineering applications, technical report writing, document management systems and sport, arts, culture and heritage.

Required skills include planning and organising, problem-solving, analysis, presentation, communication, decision-making, teamwork, customer focus and the ability to manage projects in a complex environment.

Duties

The successful candidates will manage and oversee projects in support of capital and technical maintenance projects under the supervision of the Director: Infrastructure Development.

Duties include project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation in line with project management methodology.

The candidates will create and execute project work plans, revise plans where required, identify resources, assign responsibilities and manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects.

The candidates will also apply project management methodology, enforce project standards, minimise project risks, report project progress, manage project budgets and resources, and provide tender administration inputs.

Additional duties include liaising with service providers, clients and management, supporting human resource-related activities, maintaining record management systems and the architectural library, preparing quarterly reports, project status reports and site visit reports, keeping up with built environment technologies and liaising with relevant professional bodies or councils.

Food Aid Service: Office of the Minister Ref No: DSAC-21/06/2026

Salary: R144 024 per annum

Requirements

Applicants must have ABET or an equivalent qualification.

No experience is required.

Duties

The successful candidate will render efficient food service aid duties and clean kitchen areas for the Office of the Minister.

Duties include maintaining kitchen and boardroom areas, washing crockery, cutlery and dish cloths, ensuring kitchen cupboards and surfaces are clean and tidy, preparing beverages and refreshments, obtaining the dietary needs of the Minister, arranging crockery and cutlery for service, and serving refreshments for meetings.

The candidate will also provide fresh water and clean glasses in boardrooms, wash items after meetings, keep equipment such as microwaves, kettles, fridges and urns clean, conduct stocktaking of cutlery and crockery, and assist with the procurement of cleaning materials and condiments.

Additional duties include updating the supervisor on stock levels, obtaining quotations for cutlery, condiments and cleaning materials, safeguarding kitchen items and providing general assistant services in the Office of the Minister when necessary.

The candidate may also assist with preparing refreshments for visitors, preparing documents for courier services, shredding documents and photocopying documents when required.
