Job Overview
SAFCOL is offering a permanent opportunity for a Payroll Administrator who will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely salary payments. This role is ideal for candidates with payroll experience and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Capturing and verifying payroll input data
- Processing creditor payments (bonds, garnishes, insurance, annuities)
- Maintaining and updating employee leave records
- Executing payroll runs (ACB) and issuing payslips
- Preparing statutory documents such as IRP5s
- Calculating net salaries and third-party payments
- Processing payroll journals and financial system interfaces
- Preparing and submitting PAYE, UIF, and SDL payments
- Conducting payroll reconciliations and validating reports
- Handling payroll queries and liaising with stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with payroll policies and legislation
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- SAGE VIP Payroll System Certification
- National Diploma in Finance or Human Resource Management (NQF Level 6) – advantageous
Experience
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in Payroll Administration
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
