Assistant Director: Facilities Management

Salary: R468 459 – R551 823 per annum (Level 09)
Centre: National Office, Midrand

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Building Management, Construction Management, Project Management, Property, or Real Estate Management at NQF Level 6
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities and auxiliary services
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience at salary level 7 or 8, or junior management level
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage

Knowledge and skills:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act and building regulations
  • Built environment, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Water Services Act
  • National Environmental Management Act
  • Cleaning industry and horticultural processes
  • PFMA and Supply Chain Management procedures
  • Budgeting, planning, research, report writing, communication, and supervisory skills

Duties:

  • Implement facilities and infrastructure projects at OCJ service centres
  • Conduct accommodation needs audits
  • Consolidate the User Assets Management Plan
  • Manage office space planning and parking allocation
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance and develop maintenance plans
  • Coordinate outsourced services and contract management
  • Monitor maintenance progress and expenditure
  • Supervise staff, allocate duties, and mentor employees

Supply Chain Practitioner vacancy

Supply Chain Practitioner

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Financial Management, Procurement, Logistics, Public Administration, or relevant qualification at NQF Level 6
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Supply Chain Management environment
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage

Knowledge and skills:

  • Administrative and procurement procedures
  • PFMA
  • Supply Chain Management frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Procurement legislation before awarding contracts
  • Public Service Act, PPPFA regulations, Public Service Regulations 2016, and National Treasury Regulations
  • Departmental prescripts and Batho Pele Principles
  • MS Office, planning, organisation, problem-solving, report writing, and decision-making skills

Duties:

  • Provide demand and acquisition services
  • Capture specifications on the electronic purchasing system
  • Approve requisitions on the relevant system
  • Ensure suppliers are paid within 30 days
  • Implement logistical support services
  • Authorise suppliers on the system
  • Maintain asset records and verify asset registers
  • Render store services and control storeroom access
  • Conduct stocktaking and compile reports
  • Supervise staff in Supply Chain Management
