Requirements
- Grade 12 plus a recognised 3-year Degree/Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Financial Accounting/Finance.
- At least 5 years’ proven relevant experience in financial management with emphasis on financial reporting.
- Computer literacy (MS Office), especially MS Excel Data Analytics; systems exposure to BAS and PERSAL.
- Strong accounting/financial management and high numerical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication; ability to work under pressure; project management and a valid driver’s licence are added advantages.
- Sound knowledge of GRAP, PFMA, Treasury Regulations/Instructions, and PPPFA.
Duties
- Prepare monthly, interim, and annual GRAP-compliant financial statements and monthly management accounts.
- Maintain properly reconciled accounts up to the general ledger to support financial statement disclosures.
- Provide information to oversight bodies (Provincial Treasury, Audit Committee) and to internal/external auditors.
- Apply strong knowledge of GRAP, PFMA, and procurement frameworks; leverage MS Excel analytics to enhance reporting efficiency and insight.
- Advantageous: knowledge of innovative inventory management techniques.
- Supervise staff, manage risks and projects, and prepare presentations to management and stakeholders.
