Post Title: Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant (2 Contract Positions)

Contract Period: From date of appointment to 30 June 2026
Remuneration: R28 407.00 per month
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant in an institutional or community sector pharmacy
- Familiarity with SOPs and policies of institutional pharmacies
- Knowledge of Primary Healthcare Standard Treatment Guidelines
- Current experience in primary healthcare facilities
- Clean criminal record and no dismissal for misconduct
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check (at own cost via Tshwane Metro Police Department)
Key Responsibilities:
Post-basic Pharmacist Assistants will work under indirect supervision for 8 hours per day (11:00 to 19:00), Monday to Friday, and perform the following duties:
- Stock control and medicine storage
- Dispensing medicines to patients as prescribed
- Promoting appropriate use of medicines
- Carrying out dispensary administrative functions
- Participating in pharmacy education programmes
