Salary: R181 505 – R200 637 per annum (permanent)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Valid code B driver’s license (min. 2 years)
- Computer literacy
- No criminal record
Key Duties:
- Assist with nature conservation operations
- Eco-tourism and environmental awareness duties
- Maintenance of infrastructure and equipment
- Occupational Health & Safety compliance
- Patrols, compliance monitoring, and permit inspections
Post Title: Conservation Assistant (Level 2) – Cederberg Complex (Algeria)
Location: Clanwilliam
Salary: R181 505 – R200 637 per annum (permanent)
Requirements:
- Same as above (Rocherpan post)
Key Duties:
- Identical to Rocherpan Nature Reserve post, with specific duties performed at Algeria section of the Cederberg Complex.
Post Title: Field Ranger (Level 4) – De Hoop Nature Reserve Complex
Location: Bredasdorp
Salary: R237 046 – R272 581 per annum (permanent)
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 2 years’ conservation experience in terrestrial/coastal environments
- Valid driver’s license (min. 3 years)
- Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and law enforcement
- Computer literacy including GIS
- Bilingualism (two Western Cape official languages)
- No criminal record
Key Duties:
- Biodiversity conservation and restoration
- Alien species and heritage asset management
- Eco-tourism support and stakeholder engagement
- Compliance monitoring and law enforcement
- Firefighting, incident response, and OHS duties
- Administrative and supervisory responsibilities
